The Chicago Bears have released a handful of players today as part of the roster cutdown to the 53 player NFL mandated limit.
Those cut include: second-year linebacker Kevin Malast, who started last night’s preseason finale and recovered a fumble, cornerbacks Cornelius Brown and Woodney Turenne, safety Quentin Scott, center Tim Walter, and tight end Richard Angulo.
Previously announced cuts included safety Al Afalava, who started 13 games as a rookie, linebacker and special team demon Tim Shaw, and wide receiver Freddie Barnes.
