I am an EMT in N.J. I know full well the feeling of a loss of loved one, I just recently lost 3 family members. You have my deepest sympathy an truest respect. Both sides have taken the wrong tact…they distrust one another and can't keep past trying to win the pr battle. Ridiculous that this has to head to courts to provoke any kind of discussion/resolution. Both D. Smith and Goodell have demonstrated their lack of expeirence; neither has come off well. Such a waste to see free agency, trades, etc….all the stuff that make the NFL a 365/24/7 sports so enjoyable.

Smith deserved the extension for taking a overachieving Bears squad with a woeful offensive line and few weapons to the NFC title game.

Duerson was, by and large, a good man who used his influence as a former NFL player to help people, especially young people. That he couldn't overcome whatever obstacles he perceived in his life is truly a shame.

Congrats! It's about time we had some quality players recognized beyond Chicago. It's not surprizing just defensive players. Though I would like to hear where Lovey now rates for Coach of the Year. With a bye and Home game, the potential to play in NFC Championship Game should (with some reservation..) and merit to the cause..

Bears should be in an angry mood after last week's miserable performance. D needs to get some takeaways and set the tone early. Let's get back to the offensive formula that had been working during the five game winning streak…nice mix of run/pass.
